The morning, such as it was, didn’t start until about 10:15. That might sound much more like a reasonable time when I have a day off, but I forgot to mention that so engrossed was I about some things that I was doing during the evening that it was almost 04:00 when I went to bed last night.<\/p>\n
Do you remember from Saturday when I bought the vegan pains au chocolat<\/em> from LeClerc? This morning I made a start on them. A quick 30 seconds in the microwave to warm one of them up and to freshen it up, and on the table for breakfast<\/p>\n And they weren’t too bad at all. I didn’t do very much for the rest of the day. After all, I’m on holiday, aren’t I?<\/p>\n Lunch was a couple of slices of toast with hummus followed by some fruit. No point in having a pile of butties when it’s late like this.<\/p>\n There were the usual crowds of people about this afternoon around the walled town. And there were quite a few people out on the beach having a paddle in the sea to celebrate the New Year.<\/p>\n And good luck to them too – sooner them than me. Tea was some falafel and pasta in tomato sauce. Delicious it was too<\/p>\n Rosemary rang me up after tea and we had a chat for \u2026 errr \u2026 one hour and forty-four minutes. And would have gone on even longer had the battery not gone flat in my telephone.<\/p>\n My ramble took me down to the harbour, across the lock gates and into town. I took a few pics of the harbour at night and then wandered into town. There can’t have been more than a couple of dozen people around, and some of them were quite noisy.<\/p>\n It wasn’t actually the New Year’s celebrations that I was expecting, an so I came home. It’s not exactly early but it’s not late either. Nevertheless, I’m off to bed. So while you all admire the photos, I’ll clear off. <\/p>\n<\/a>At 23:30 I went out for a midnight walk. It’s New Year and I wanted to be out on the streets.<\/p>\n
