… that was taken at some silly time of the evening – like 19:16 if the timestamp is to be believed.<\/p>\n

The tongue and grooving is coming along famously but it’s just so slow. I’ve done less than a third and my 2-day timespan for this is now expired. Still, if national governments can be overdue and over-budget then so can I.<\/p>\n

All of the lengths are different so each piece needs to be cut individually. I’m glad I bought the Ryobi circular saw as that it what is doing the bulk of the work. But some of this t&g is total carp – knots missing and all that kind of thing.<\/p>\n

When it’s done it’s going to be varnished in clear lacquer. I like untreated wood but it’s not realistic in this kind of environment to keep it untreated.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow is shopping day. 3 sheets of plasterboard, a sheet of 10mm plywood, some skirting board and some architraving and that will be about it. The glass I need will have to wait until next weekend when I pick up the furniture. I’m picking up the woodstove on Sunday too.That will be exciting.<\/p>\n

And another early night for me.<\/p>\n
